Nachuan Mould’s 2024 Technical Skills Competition has come to a successful conclusion

Recently, Changzhou Nachuan Mould Technology Co., Ltd. successfully concluded its 2024 Technical Skills Competition in the company’s production workshop. Held under the theme ‘Precision Craftsmanship in Mould Making, Artistry at Nachuan’, the competition featured three categories: CNC programming, fitter assembly and mould debugging, attracting over 50 technical specialists from various production processes to compete.
At the opening ceremony, the company’s Technical Director stated that skilled workers are the core driving force behind the enterprise’s development, and that the skills competition serves not only as a platform to assess employees’ technical proficiency but also as a forum for mutual learning and exchange. He expressed the hope that this event would inspire all staff to pursue technical knowledge and hone their skills, fostering a positive atmosphere of “competition, learning, catching up and surpassing”, thereby providing a solid talent foundation for the company’s high-quality development.
In the CNC programming section, contestants were required to complete 3D modelling, toolpath planning and NC code generation within a specified timeframe, based on provided tyre tread pattern drawings. The judges awarded comprehensive scores based on criteria such as programming efficiency, the rationality of machining strategies, and code standardisation. In the Fitting and Assembly section, contestants were required to complete the precision assembly of mould housings and cavities within a set time limit, testing their hand-eye coordination and precise control over fitting clearances. The Mould Debugging section simulated real production scenarios, with contestants conducting trial runs and debugging on the assembled moulds to resolve various pre-set technical issues.
Following two days of intense competition, the event awarded three first prizes, six second prizes and nine third prizes. The winners not only received substantial cash prizes but will also be conferred the honorary title of ‘Nacuan Technical Expert’ and given priority recommendation for participation in municipal and provincial-level skills competitions.
At the closing ceremony, company leaders emphasised that the skills competition is not an endpoint, but a new beginning. The company will continue to refine its skilled talent development system and establish a mechanism linking skill levels to remuneration, ensuring that every technical worker has a clear career progression pathway and room for development. It is hoped that all employees will take the award-winning competitors as role models, remain dedicated to their roles, strive for excellence, and achieve extraordinary results in their ordinary posts, thereby jointly forging the outstanding quality of Nachuan Moulds.
